Coordinated by professor Karla Maria Damiano Teixeira. It develops research related to the structure, dynamics and transformations experienced by families, as well as the analysis of public and corporate policies that target the family. The family is studied in its different life cycles, covering the group's work with issues related to childhood and adolescence (child employment, drug use, among others), adult life (aspects related to the job market, division of domestic tasks, administration of different resources), and aging (institutionalization, quality of life for the elderly, caregivers for the elderly). The group's work also includes issues related to social inclusion/exclusion of vulnerable groups, social networks and gender relations. The work developed by the Group aims to contribute to the theoretical construction and methodological development in family studies.
