Rural Studies Group: Agriculture and Ruralities – GERAR

Coordinated by professors Ana Louise Carvalho Fiuza and Neide Maria de Almeida Pinto, it develops research on the following topics: 1) Gender, Science and technology; 2) Rurban families in contemporary times; 3) Gender and generation relations in rural producer families; 4) Changes in ways of life in the countryside; 5) Daily mobility between the countryside and the city; 6) Uses of Information and Communication Technologies in rural producer families. These themes show broad convergence with the Program's two Lines of Research and with the area of ​​concentration, Family and Society.
