History Train: research and extension group

Coordinated by professor Leonardo Nogueira Alves, the group has three lines of research. Linga Popular culture, art and society in Brazil studies the cultural formation of Brazil, with an emphasis on the formation of national identity based on the experiences of popular culture and its artistic expressions. The Brazilian Social Thought line studies the classic formulations of Brazilian social thought and the contributions of Latin American political thought to the study of Brazilian social formation, seeking to emphasize the characteristics of dependent capitalism. The Social Service and Brazilian reality line studies Social Service based on the particularities of the Brazilian reality, focusing on work and professional training. Study the determinations of the social formation of Minas Gerais for professional work, especially in the Inconfidentes region.
