The group brings together studies and research that focus on the relationship between families and public policies, aiming at human and social development. Families are studied in their daily lives, according to their structure, functioning and transformations, taking into account the dynamic interaction between personal and family life and the environment, aiming to achieve citizenship and, consequently, improve quality of life. Directs investigations related to the solution of social issues, considering the scheduling, formulation/decision-making, implementation and evaluation of public policies. It also includes discussions about consumption, work and environmental sustainability, involving aspects relating to management, movements, networks and social practices, as well as gender relations, power, conflicts and violence, aiming at the empowerment of social subjects, both men and women. women, children and the elderly, in rural and urban areas.
