Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Home Economics is considered one of the 50 leading women in Brazil in the Area of ​​Applied Social Sciences

The professor at the Department of Social Service at UFV, Maria das Dores Saraiva de Loreto, was highlighted in the Open Box da Ciência project, published by the independent media organization “Gênero e Número”, being considered one of the 50 leading women in Brazil in the area of applied social sciences. The project collected data and analyzed the information contained on the Lattes platform and generated a cartography that reveals the faces and research of women scientists.

Each of the five major areas features 50 female protagonists. To compose the list, a survey was carried out based on the number of articles published in impact journals (qualis A1, A2 and B1), the order of authorship of the articles and the number of awards received, from event organizations, congresses, exhibitions and fairs and participation in these activities.
